Why Connect Instagram?
Connecting Instagram
Open the connector
Go to Skill Store → Flow Connectors → Instagram and click Connect.
Authorize via Facebook
Instagram Business accounts are managed through Facebook. Sign in and link your Instagram account.
Done
Your Instagram account is now connected and available in Theo AI Chat.
What You Can Do
- • Get your Instagram Business account info (username, bio, followers, media count)
- • List recent media posts with engagement metrics
- • Create and publish photo posts from a URL
- • Create and publish Reels from a video URL
- • Fetch per-post insights (impressions, reach, engagement, saves)
Using Instagram from Theo Chat
Token Management
OAuth tokens are automatically refreshed by OpenCharts. If a refresh fails, you'll see a reconnection prompt in the Skill Store.
Disconnecting
Go to Skill Store → Flow Connectors → Instagram and click Disconnect. You can also revoke access from Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations (Instagram is managed via Facebook).
Troubleshooting
Account not found
Make sure you have an Instagram Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page.
Photo publish fails
The image URL must be publicly accessible. Instagram cannot fetch images behind authentication.
Insights unavailable
Post insights require a Business account and are only available for posts less than 2 years old.
