OpenCharts offers four plans — Free, Starter, Unlimited, and Teams. Billing is handled through Stripe with monthly or annual options. You can also purchase AI credit packs for extra usage.

AI Credits

How Credits Work

Every AI action (extraction, generation, rewriting, side-panel chat) consumes credits from your monthly allotment. Credits reset on your billing cycle date. Unused credits do not roll over.

Credit Packs (One-Time Purchase)

Need more credits mid-cycle? Purchase a one-time pack. Purchased credits do carry over month to month and are used only after your base allotment runs out.

Check your current usage in Settings → Billing. The credit meter shows base credits, purchased surplus, and usage for the current cycle.

Upgrading & Downgrading

Upgrading

Go to Settings → Billing → Upgrade Plan or visit the /pricing page. You'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout. The new plan takes effect immediately, and your credit allotment adjusts.

Downgrading & Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan limits. Existing projects are not deleted — you just can't create new ones beyond the Free quota.

Managing Your Billing

All billing management is handled through the Settings → Billing tab:

  • View current plan, status, and next billing date
  • See AI credit usage (base + purchased + used this month)
  • Switch between monthly and annual billing
  • Purchase AI credit packs
  • Cancel or change your plan
